Create and Link Your Facebook Page to Instagram

Why is this important?

If you don’t already have a Facebook Page, follow this detailed guide to create one.

Afterward, go to Instagram → Profile → Edit Profile → Linked Accounts and connect your Instagram account to your Facebook Page. This step is essential for access to monetization features.

Steps to Switch to a Professional Account

Go to your profile: Tap on your profile picture in the bottom right corner of the app.

Open the menu: Tap the three lines (menu icon) in the top right corner.

Navigate to Account type and tools: Tap on "Settings and Privacy" then select "Account type and tools".

Select Switch to professional account: Tap on "Switch to professional account".

Choose a category: Select a category that best describes your business or what you do.

Choose Business or Creator: Choose either "Business" or "Creator" depending on your needs.

Connect a Facebook Page (Optional): You can connect your Instagram account to a Facebook Page associated with your business, which can make it easier to use features across Meta.
